Maxim Park - a place of personal growth, as well as a place to work

With such a diverse range of job roles being carried out every day at Maxim Park, we can all learn a lot from each other. That’s why we’re proud to bring members of our community together on a regular basis as part of our programme of Continuing Personal Development (CPD) events.

Rather than being an ‘added extra’ for members of our community, we see CPD as a key part of our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy to build a 360 degree vision that not only makes best use of the many resources we have across the park, but embraces innovation and is a force for good that, with the help and support of our partners and collaborators, provides all of us with a positive environment in which to work and develop towards a sustainable future.

One of the newest members of the Maxim Park team is our Sustainability and Community Coordinator Malwina Bieniawska, who is committed to building on these aims by providing varied and interesting learning opportunities on a range of topics.

Malwina is still taking bookings for one of the events, a seminar by Lauren Lochrie of Herbal Homestead on October 12th which look at herbs for health, tea blends for common ailments, and easy kitchen remedies for everyday wellness.

That follows some fantastic chances to learn about how you can make improvements to your wardrobe as well as the environment with sustainable fashion.

Coming up over the next few months and into next year, we’ll have seminars on the menopause and mental health, and financial advice from respected experts to help you futureproof your finances amid the cost-of-living crisis.

Malwina said: “I’m passionate about making connections within our local community that can help us all at Maxim Park to add to our knowledge and skillsets, while at the same time promoting sustainability.

“We are part of such an innovative community at Maxim Park, and key to that, our CPD programme also helps us support local small and independent businesses that are doing amazing things in terms of their sustainable product and service offerings.

“I’d love to hear from any members of the park community that feel they have something to give our CPD attendees in the way of knowledge, training or advice, or of course if they can introduce us to more innovative organisations that embrace our ethos of creating a force for good.”

Email malwina.bieniawska@maximpark.co.uk with your CPD suggestions or to book a place at Lauren’s workshop.
