It’s official – Maxim Park is sitting pretty following landscaping award!

Maxim Park occupiers can be all the more proud to welcome their staff and visitors on site after our landscaping team won a national award for their work to maintain our pristine environment.

We’re all the more thrilled that this well-deserved accolade for GP Plantscape, who we’ve partnered with for a number of years to ensure the park not only looks its best but is welcoming to a diversity of wildlife, comes just months after we increased our investment in the team’s exterior landscaping service to five days a week.

Winning the BALI National Landscaping Award for grounds maintenance of sites with limited public access, GP Plantscape’s work at Maxim Park was shortlisted against services that look after the 33-acre business and science campus Chiswick Park in west London, and serviced office development Beaufort House in Aldgate, also in England’s capital.

The crew, led by Andrew Bell, GP Plantscape’s contract manager, looks after all 40 acres at Maxim Park to ensure the 3,000 members of our workplace community are surrounded by green space that inspires them to enjoy the outdoors during their working day.

With a nursery and allotments, ponds, fountains and even a putting green, as well as grass edging, planter beds, and our bat and bird boxes, there’s a lot to look after, all of which combine to create a peaceful, natural environment for all our guests to enjoy – contributing in no small part to their wellbeing.

Not only that, but throughout the winter months GP Plantscape clear the snow and grit our surfaces to ensure safe passage across the park for pedestrians and motorists alike. The team is also responsible for Maxim’s internal planting across the site – and our annual Christmas trees!

Caroline Baillie, our Director of Park Services, said: “We’ve been working closely with the team at GP Plantscape to ensure our grounds make an impact visually, as well as providing a fantastic environment for our tenants and visitors to enjoy all year round, no matter what their species!

“We have a unique and beautiful office park and it can be a challenge for GP Plantscape to work around our wild residents, such as bees, butterflies, frogs and fish, to give them all they need to thrive, whilst also creating the striking aesthetic we’ve all come to cherish while at work.

“GP Plantscape has supported the development of our Environmental, Social and corporate Governance (ESG) strategy, and continues to work with us to further improve methods and processes so we can be as sustainable as possible.

“A huge congratulations to all members of the team, and a heartfelt thank you for all they do.”
