Maxim Park: where work is a cut above

It can be a challenge fitting everything into busy modern lives, between commuting, working, family commitments and more. But Maxim Park has been designed to ensure that everything you need is close at hand, from on-site childcare to retail and leisure. We’re more than just a workplace, and one part of the park’s community offers a real personal touch that will make you forget all about the office!

The Fountain Hair Studio, so-called due to its unique position looking out onto the focal point that is the park’s feature fountain, has been part of the Maxim community for more than four years, and salon owner Fiona Robertson said: “Maxim Park is a beautiful location and is full of diversity because of all the different businesses within the park.

“I feel very privileged to work in such a beautiful place and meet so many interesting people, and clients love the salon; they enjoy the personal touch the stylists give to each individual person, as they’re with you from the moment you enter until you leave. It's a very personal service.”

Fiona’s team, which works Tuesday to Saturday with two late night openings, is made up of experienced stylists offering a wide range of colouring, cutting and styling services and products, including barbering, to give you the look and experience you’d like, whether for work, a party, a wedding, or if you just fancy being pampered.

As it’s so close to Maxim Park’s new fitness studio at Maxim 3, customers have the option to pop in post-work out to relax and ease themselves into their day, whatever it may throw at them. But equally, when pushed for time, they can pop in for a quick lunchtime tidy up.

Fiona continued: “We’re here to help people achieve what they need from their time with us, whether it’s a moment of self-care within a busy day, or a whole new look. We understand the people of Maxim Park need that flexibility, and the salon is pretty unique in allowing us to offer that experience, in both location and service.

“There are also regular offers on within the studio, which we recently gave a lockdown makeover to go with our new location as we moved from elsewhere on the park.”

The Fountain Hair Studio is just part of the personal care and leisure offer at Maxim Park, which also includes weekly visits from wellbeing experts such as reflexologists and massage therapists, car valeting and even a putting green.

Fiona added: “As more and more people return to their workplace post-lockdown, the retail area on the park is getting busy again, which is great to see. I’m looking forward to the return of the park’s live music on a Friday with all the shops open, to help people get ready for their weekend. But whatever day of the week, I love coming to work each day.”
