Leading Golfer To Tee Off At Maxim

THE HERALD (COMMERCIAL PROPERTY)
LIFE gets stranger by the minute at Maxim, the £330m gigantic office park under construction on the former Chunghwa plant at Eurocentral.
In a bid to turn rivals green, the Lanarkshire business park has announced a major new deal. No, not with an occupier, but with Scotland’s top golf professional Alastair Forsyth (pictured with chief executive Karen Campbell). In a move which will ‘trump’ rival office locations, the golfer is to advise on the creation of a 7317sq ft ‘world-class’ putting surface. This is apparently to make the life-work balance a reality for the 7000 people developers expect will find employment there when the project is complete in 2010.
Forsyth will work with architects and construction teams on the layout and design of the PGA-approved facility and be available to offer advice and guidance. The tournament pro, ranked 84th in the world, will wear the Maxim logo during competitive action.
