Finishing touches to Building 5 marks completion of Maxim Office Park
31/03/2010
The 187,000 square foot Building 5 has now been completed at Lanarkshire’s Maxim Office Park rounding off the construction of the development which will ultimately employ over 8000 workers.
Building 5 is the flagship of the 750,000 square foot Maxim Office Park and will accommodate up to 2,800 people.
The building has strong environmental credentials – it has achieved a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’ with its walls, roof and flooring comprised of a wide range of Green Guide rated A and A+ materials. The building’s CO2 emissions levels are over 20 per cent lower than regulation standard and it has been designed to minimise water use with low flush WCs and showers that consume less water than standard specifications.
Maxim opened for business last year and has already welcomed a number of retail clients to the Park including premium deli Berits & Brown, convenience store, Amigo and Papillon Nursery. It has also signed initial deals with office tenants Currie & Brown and Regus who are due to open for business in May.
Karen Campbell, chief executive officer at Maxim Office Park said: “The completion of Building 5 concludes the main construction phase of the project with all our 10 main office buildings now complete. It opens a new chapter for us going forward as we look to build on the existing momentum we have and attract more tenants on to the site.
“Building 5 is the largest one on the park and will suit any office user, potentially one looking for a corporate headquarters with all its operations contained in a single building. Maxim is ideally situated with excellent transportation links and easy access to the Scottish motorway network.”
